Dachangshan Island town, belonging to Changhai County, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, is located in the west central part of Changshan Islands, in the north central part of lichangshan islands, adjacent to xiaochangshan Island town in the south, facing guangludao town in the southwest, and adjacent to Jinzhou District, Pulandian district and Zhuanghe City of Dalian city across the sea in the north. Its total area is 40.53 square kilometers.
Qing Daoguang 23 years (1843), belong to Jinzhou Hall of the island area, namely Jinzhou 16 island. In November 1945, Dachangshan township was built, belonging to Changshan district. In December 1985, Dachangshan township was merged into sikuaishi town. In March 1987, sikuaishi town was renamed dachangshandao town. In late 2018, the population of dchangshan Island registered residence was 28366. As of June 2020, dachangshandao town has four communities and seven administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Dongshan community.
