Badain Jaran Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Alashan Right Banner, Alashan League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is the government residence of Alashan Right Banner. It is located in the southwest of Alashan Right Banner, adjacent to Minqin County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province in the East, Yongchang County and Shandan County, Gansu Province in the south, alatengchaokesumu in the west, Badain Jaran Desert in the north, with an administrative area of 6640 square kilometers.
Badain Jaran town was formerly known as ekenhuduge town. Ekenhuduge was originally a Gacha in Bayin windur Sumu. On May 24, 2011, it was renamed Badain Jaran town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Jilin town was 12361. As of June 2020, Badain Jaran town has 5 communities and 3 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers and herdsmen in Badanjilin town reached 13024 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17%. In 2018, there were 4 industrial enterprises in Badain Jaran Town, including 4 above scale enterprises and 20 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Badain Jaran town was formerly known as ekenhuduge town. Ekenhuduge was originally a Gacha in Bayin windur Sumu.
In 1965, the banner people's government moved here from Huhe Dabusu.
In 1979, ekenhuduge town was officially established.
In September 1999, Bayin wenduersumu was merged with ekenhuduge town.
In July 2005, erebugei Sumu was put under the jurisdiction of ekenhuduge town.
On May 24, 2011, it was renamed Badain Jaran town.

Badanjilin town is located on the Alxa trough anticline and bayanhaocao Anticline of Alxa platform in Inner Mongolia Plateau. The terrain is high in the East and low in the West.
climate
Badain Jaran town has a temperate continental monsoon climate. It is characterized by abundant heat, sufficient sunshine, drastic changes in cold and summer, scarce precipitation, strong evaporation, and dry and windy. It is commonly known as "nine droughts in ten years". Winter is long and cold; summer is hot and rainfall is concentrated; the temperature changes obviously in spring and autumn. The annual average temperature is 8.4 ℃. The average temperature is - 8.6 ℃ in January and 23.7 ℃ in July.

The mineral resources in Badain Jaran town are ferrous metals, mainly including iron, manganese, titanium and other three kinds of mineral deposits. There are 24 ore bodies in the South and North ore belts. The non-ferrous metals mainly include copper, nickel, lead-zinc and vanadium. The precious metals and rare metals mainly include gold, platinum, rutile and niobium. The special non-ferrous metals mainly include bingzhoushi, crystal stone and agate General nonmetallic deposits mainly include marble, limestone, dolomite, silica, fluorite, graphite and other minerals. Among them, there are abundant graphite resources, and the representative is the medium-sized Graphite Deposit in gangbajing. The ore bearing bed is 3.1km long and 100-500m wide. There are 19 orebodies, which are divided into two ore bearing beds. The average grade is 9.82%. The main energy mines in the territory are coal, oil, natural gas, etc. Among them, the coal resources are relatively rich, and the representative is changshanzidong small coal deposit, which is located in Badain Jaran town and belongs to Jurassic long flame coal. There are 9-13 coal seams, 6 of which can be mined. The industrial reserves are 6.648 million tons and the prospective reserves are 35.17 million tons.

History and culture
"Badain Jaran" is Mongolian, "Badan" is evolved from badai (person's name), "Jilin" (Jiren transliteration) is a numeral, namely "60". Hundreds of years ago, a herdsman named badai lived beside Dasha mountain in Badain Jaran Desert and found 60 Haizi of different sizes. In memory of him, later generations called him Badain Jaran Desert. Badain Jaran town is named after Badain Jaran Desert.
In 2006, Mongolian Long Tune folk songs were listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
