Shanshan town
Shanshan Town, belonging to Shanshan County of Turpan City, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the Western Oasis belt of the northern foot of kurtagg. It is adjacent to the train station and seven KT Tai town. It borders on the piazzaar Township and the East bazaar Hui nationality township, and the west is on the even Mu Qin Town, which connects the township with the north and the Turpan Autonomous Prefecture of the Changji autonomous region. The area is 104.7 square kilometers, registered residence. The population is 37516.
In 1727, the city was built. In 1903, Shanshan county was established as the county government. It was changed to Chaoyang town in 1944. In May 1950, it was divided into the first district (Chengguan District). In September 1958, when the town was established, it was named the town. In 1965, Shanshan town was named after the county. As of October 2019, Shanshan town has 15 communities and 1 administrative village.

In 1727, the city was built.
In the 24th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1759), there was a minister of exhibition affairs here. The city was located in dongbazha Hui Township to the east of today's county. Later, a new city was built in the location of today's county.
In 1903, Shanshan county was established as the county government.
In 1944, it was changed to Chaoyang town.
In May 1950, it was divided into the first district (Chengguan District).
In September 1958, when the town was established, it was named the town.
In 1965, Shanshan town was named after the county.
