Tuoli Township, belonging to Urumqi county, Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Urumqi county government, adjacent to Daban Town in the East, tuokesun County in the south, Shuixigou town in the west, Chaiwopu Lake Management Office and Tianshan District Hongyan office in the north. The total area of the administrative area is 1118 square kilometers, and as of 2018, the number of registered residence in Tori township was 3989.
Before the founding of new China, the grassland Gobi of Tuoli township was under the jurisdiction of the pastoral area of Dihua county. In 1950, it was Tuoli township of nine districts.
