Shizi township is located in the east of Zizhong County.

Shizi township is located in the east of Zizhong County, 18 kilometers away from the county. It is named after the people's Government in shizi'ao. In 1992, Shizi Township, Tianen Township and Huangjiachang Township were merged. It covers an area of 49.2 square kilometers and has a total population of 38100. It governs 22 administrative villages and 193 communities. The land belongs to shallow hills, fertile land, mild climate, suitable for crop growth. The main food crops are rice, corn, wheat and sweet potato; the economic crops are rape, peanut, sugarcane and sea pepper. Pigs are the main livestock and poultry. The traffic is convenient. The existing Zitai highway passes through the territory, and there are Shihuang, Shitian and Shitong highways. There are 11 reservoirs, 10 power pumping irrigation stations, which can irrigate 31600 mu of land. There are farmers' markets, shale brick factories, distilleries, primary and secondary schools and health centers in the town. In 1998, the gross national product was 123.5 million yuan, and the gross industrial and agricultural output value was 108 million yuan.
