Mapo Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located between 116 ° 34'57 "~ 116 ° 37'15" E and 40 ° 09'01 "~ 40 ° 11'39" n. It is located in the northwest of Shunyi District, adjacent to Shuangfeng street by xiaozhonghe in the East, Nanfaxin town in the south, Gaoliying town in the west, zhaoquanying town and Niulanshan town in the north. During the period of the Republic of China, most villages in Mapo area belonged to the first district (Renhe Town). In April 1949, it belonged to the 11th district of Shunyi County; in April 1950, it belonged to the first district. In May 1953, Mapo township was established. In 1958, it belonged to Mapo management area of Chengguan people's commune. In January 1970, Mapo people's commune was established. In August 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In April 1998, the Township Reform District Office was established. In November 1999, Mapo Town was set up in the regional office. By the end of 2018, there were 7683 registered residence population in Ma Po town. As of October 2019, Mapo Town has three communities and seven administrative villages, and the town government is stationed at No. 15 Shuncheng Street, Mapo Town.
