Zhengyang Street, belonging to Qianjiang District of Chongqing, is located in the middle of Qianjiang District, adjacent to Apengjiang in the East, Fengjia street in the south, Shuitian Township and Chengnan street in the west, Chengdong street and zhoubai street in the north, with a total area of 50 square kilometers.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Zhengyang township was set up in the area of Zhengyang Street, belonging to Luoli, Qianjiang County, Chongqing; in March 2009, Zhengyang town was changed into Zhengyang Street. In the early Qing Dynasty, Zhengyang township was set up, belonging to Luoli, Qianjiang County, Chongqing.
In 1928, the first district was abandoned.
In February 1953, it was changed to the second district. Zhengyang township was divided into Zhengyang, Tongping and Guanhe townships.
In January 1956, Tongping and Guanhe townships were merged into Zhengyang Township and changed into the first district.
In April 1958, Zhengyang township was rebuilt into Zhengyang commune.
In February 1983, it was changed from Zhengyang commune to Zhengyang township.
In November 2001, it was changed from Zhengyang township to Zhengyang town.
In March 2009, Zhengyang town was rebuilt into Zhengyang Street.
