Tiefosi town belongs to Hanyin County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the north of Hanyin County, adjacent to Shenba town of Hanbin District in the East, Jianchi town in the south, Shuanghekou town in the West and Yeping town of Hanbin District in the north. The maximum distance between the north and the south is 40 kilometers, and the maximum distance between the East and the west is 5.5 kilometers, with a total area of 163.78 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, tiefosi town has 1 community and 10 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the population of 14956 households in the iron Buddha Temple registered residence. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of tiefosi town reached 1.532 billion yuan, the total industrial output value was 220 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 250 million yuan.
Historical evolution
Tiefo temple was originally called LiShuLing, but later it was named after the Tiefo temple.
After 1949, Tiefo District Office was established, which governed Tongqian Township, Shijie Township, Shuitian Township, Sanqing Township, Luming Township, Huanglong Township, Longya Township and Shuanghekou township.
In 1958, tiefosi commune was established.
In 1983, it was changed into a town.
At the end of 1996, Shuitian, Sanqing and Luming were merged into tiefosi town.
In July 2011, shitiao Township and Tongqian Township were merged into tiefosi town.
