Jiangda Township
Jiangda township is a township under the jurisdiction of Suo County, Naqu City, Tibet. It is located in the south central part of the county, adjacent to Ru county and Bianba County in the south, about 150 km away from the county. The resident population is 4049 (2017). Township was established in 1966 and commune was established in 1971. In 1988, the former Jiangda Township and Kedeng Township were merged into Jiangda township. In 1996, with a population of about 2600, it governs NIM, Kedeng, chiding, Bayang, Zhexie, Dahe, nadeng, xiongna, Nipu, Bazhong and bacha, and the township government is stationed in Jiangda (12 villages including Nimu, Keding, Zhending, fayang, Dhaka, xiuna, Kading, Jiangda, nupu, chixiu, Dasu and chubika). In 2000, there were 2844 permanent residents in Jiangda township (Wupu). In 2006, it has jurisdiction over Nimu, Keding, Zhending, payang, chixiu, Dahai, gangdingka, xiunai, nupu, Jiangda, cuobaika and dishuka. Geography
Jiangda township is located in the south of Suo county and the southeast of the county. The township government is about 150 kilometers away from the county seat, which is one of the more remote townships in the county. It has jurisdiction over 12 villages. The total population is 4049 (2017). The total area of cultivated land is 228.39 hectares. The total number of livestock on hand is 14368. There are two temples, Dongzong temple and Jiangda temple. the altitude of the whole township is about 3700 meters, and the Nujiang River flows through the territory. The altitude is low and the climate is pleasant. The area is rich in forest resources, wildlife, and are well protected. Due to the unique natural conditions, the mountain is high and the forest is dense, the water flow is gentle, and the scenery is unique. for a long time, Jiangda township is still one of the three townships that can only be opened to traffic seasonally because of the traffic conditions and the information is relatively closed. At the end of 2007, the construction of Xijiang (Xichang Jiangda) highway has started, which is expected to change this situation after it is completed and opened to traffic.
