Gongdang Township

Jilong County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region governs the township and four village committees, namely, gongdang village, Kangbei village, Ru village and Zhang village.

It is located in the southwest of Jilong County, 140 kilometers away from Jilong county (Jilong County Zhangcun gongdang township). It's just a mountain away from Nepal.

Gongdang Xiang, one of 3 townships in 2 towns of Jilong County, was built in nanzhar District in 1961.

Historical evolution

It was renamed gongdang District in 1963 and changed to township in 1987.

The trade activities mainly included rice, flour, brick tea, butter, agricultural and animal husbandry products, gold and silver jewelry and other daily necessities. in September 2017, gongdang Township officially opened the annual border trade between China and Nepal, with 439 people and 1172 livestock entering gongdang township.

Infrastructure construction

In the rainy season of 2005, the total length of the highway from Lagong to Shilong is 2796km. Due to the frequent natural disasters, the highway from Lagong to dadangsha town is 70km Off state. in 2010, the Department of transportation of Tibet Autonomous Region arranged an investment of 7.26 million yuan to improve some drainage and protection facilities in the section from qianglashan to gongdang township of Jigong highway. by may 2015, from October to May next year, the roads from gongdang township to the outside world were blocked due to the snow. on June 19, 2015, the bidding announcement was issued for the highway project (phase I) from Kangbei village to Zhangcun village to wolongduo'er in gongdang Township, with a total length of 55.32 km and a planned construction period of 12 months. in February 2016, the second highway from gongdang township to the outside world (from Jilong to re Suoqiao highway fork of national highway 216 to Zhangcun to gongdang township highway) is under construction, with a total length of 112 km and a total investment of 100 million yuan. It is a class IV sandy road. In 2016, the construction of menkanglakang highway project in Ning village of gongdang township was carried out, and the post disaster recovery and reconstruction project was carried out, with a total of 243 households rebuilt. in April 2017, gongdang township is implementing the 2016 small-scale irrigation and water conservancy special county project. on April 20, 2018, the construction bidding notice was issued for the highway project from Ru village to Ning village to Niang village in gongdang township. The project starts from Ru village in gongdang Township and ends at Niang village. The total length of the route is about 54.388 km. It is constructed according to the standard of class IV Highway and the design speed is 20 km / h. in December 2018, the highway reconstruction project from the county seat to gongdang Township, Zhangcun niangcun highway, Kangbei village to Zhangcun highway, Jilin village to Rucun highway and Zhangcun to wolongdor highway are being implemented. The subgrade of the highway from the county seat to gongdang is basically completed. on November 26, 2019, the rural passenger transport line will be opened from Jilong county to gongdang township.

Culture and education

Gongdang Township complete primary school has been built. in August 2017, gongdang Township commended and encouraged seven outstanding students in the 2017 senior high school entrance examination, with a total reward of 17000 yuan. And actively communicate with the mainland people to donate clothes, school supplies and other items worth more than 20000 yuan for the township primary school. on October 5, 2018, gongdang Township held the grant ceremony for outstanding students in 2018. The aided students included students from junior high school, junior high school and senior high school. A total of 14 students were assisted and a total of 18000 yuan was granted.

Ecological environment protection

In August 2018, pingcuo, deputy head of Jilong County, together with relevant personnel from the county agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, Poverty Alleviation Office, Meteorological Bureau and gongdang Township, went to douga'er Zangbu, gongdang township to carry out river patrol work to inspect the river water regime, water potential, river retaining wall construction and surrounding environmental protection.
