Dawangguzhuang town

Dawangguzhuang town is located at the junction of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. It borders Tongzhou District of Beijing in the north and Langfang Development Zone of Hebei Province in the West. Beijing Tianjin Tangshan expressway runs through the whole town. With a total area of 48.08 square kilometers, the town has 17 administrative villages and a total population of 24696 (2017). In 2003, it was designated as one of the five strategic towns for economic development by Wuqing district government, and one of the seven central towns by Tianjin municipal government in the same year.

On July 27, 2017, the Ministry of housing and urban rural development announced the second batch of national characteristic towns, and dawangguzhuang town was shortlisted.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name dawangguzhuang town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
