Silver Town
Yinhao Town, belonging to Guyang County, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China, is located in the northeast of Guyang county. It is adjacent to Erzhi town of Wuchuan County in the East, xiashihao town in the southeast and south, Jinshan Town in the southwest and West, and huaishuo town in the northwest, North and northeast. It is 27 kilometers away from the county government, with a total administrative area of 790 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty and the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to maoming'an banner. In December 2005, Yinhao Township, Damiao Township and the southern part of Donggong Township merged into Yinhao town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the town was 23108. In 2019, Yinhao town governs 10 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in Yinhao village.
The agriculture of Yinhao town is mainly based on the income from animal husbandry, and the breeding is mainly based on beef cattle, sheep and pigs; the industry has formed a one-stop industrial system of mining, transportation and iron ore rough processing. In 2018, there were 60 industrial enterprises in Yinhao Town, including 7 above scale.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty and the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to maoming'an banner.
In 1926, it was called a district, belonging to Guyang county.
In November 1937, it was called Gonggong Township, belonging to the puppet Guyang County Office.
In 1945, it was called Mingyi township.
In March 1950, it was called the third district.
June 1955, known as silver district.
In July 1958, the district was abandoned and four communes, Dongfanghong, Xinghuo, Gongtong and May 8th commune, were established; in December 1958, the four communes were merged into silver commune, with three management areas under it, belonging to Guyang county.
In March 1960, it was divided into three communes: Yinhao commune, donggongzilao commune and Damiao commune.
In July 1984, the three communes were changed into townships and all of them belonged to Guyang county.
In December 2005, Yinhao Township, Damiao Township and the southern part of Donggong Township merged into Yinhao town.

In 2011, Yinhao town has 17 administrative villages including Xilin, changfacheng, Damiao, Gaojia, xiaowutu, Machi, nianfang, Yinhao, Shuiquan, dongyuanshui, ma'erfen, Dayuan, dayingzi, dechengshui, Tuanjie, xiyingzi and gechou, with 176 villager groups.
In 2019, Yinhao town has 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, including dechengyong village, dayingzi village, Shuiquan village, xiyingzi village, Damiao village, dongyuanyong village, dayuanyi village, Machi village, Yinhao village and Xilin village. The people's government is stationed in Yinhao village.
