Hangtou town

Hangtou town is located in the southwest of Jiande City, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is adjacent to shouchang town in the northeast, daciyan and Longyou County in Quzhou City in the southeast, Datong town in the southwest and Chun'an County in Hangzhou City in the northwest. Hangtou town is only 17 kilometers away from Xin'anjiang street, the main urban area of Jiande, and 120 kilometers away from Hangzhou. Hangzhou Xinjing expressway, longliwen expressway, national highway 320 and provincial highway 305 run through the whole territory. The territory is flat and open, and the traffic is very convenient. Rich in resources, it is a provincial key water and soil conservation area, and also the site of "Lingqi cave", a national scenic spot.

Hangtou town was formed by the merger of yuanshiping Township, dadiankou Township and hangtou town. The town has an administrative area of 153.1 square kilometers, 11940 hectares of forest and 1710.4 hectares of arable land, 18 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee with a population of 34829, 34 Party organizations (including 4 administrative village Party committees, 14 general Party branches and 16 party branches) and 1513 party members. There are 61 cadres on the staff.

Introduction to villages and towns

Hangtou town is located in the southwest of Jiande City, bordering shouchang town in the East, Zhitang town and Hengshan Town in Longyou County in the south, Datong town in the west, Shiping town and Tongjia town in the north. It is 19 kilometers away from Xin'anjiang Town, 10 kilometers away from Lingqi cave and daciyan. There are 320 national roads passing through the town. The agriculture is developed, and it is an important grain production town in Jiande City. There is a Neolithic yangshugang site in the territory.

Hangtou town got its name from hangtou village. According to the records of shouchang county annals of the Republic of China, shouchang stream flows to Wutan and meets Caoxi in hangchuan. The village is located at the head of the ferry port of hangchuan, so it is named hangtou. In 1949, it was divided into hangtou, Xiyan and Wulong townships; in 1958, hangtou, Xiyan, dadiankou and Shiping townships were merged into hangtou commune; in 1960, it was merged into shouchang commune, and the original jurisdiction was hangtou and Xiyan; in 1961, hangtou commune and Xiyan commune were re established. In 1965, the two communes merged and were called hangtou commune; in 1980, the residence of the commune was moved from hangtou village to Xiyan village. In 1983, the society was withdrawn and the township was built. In 1992, it merged with dadiankou township to establish hangtou town.

In December 1996, it was named the first batch of national commodity grain bases by the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of agriculture and the Ministry of water resources. In 1996, provincial and Hangzhou leaders Lu Zhangong and Shen Zheshou successively visited the town to inspect agricultural production; in the same year, the key construction project of Jiande City, the Hongtang reservoir with a total investment of 7.81 million yuan and a storage capacity of 2.65 million cubic meters, was built in dadiankou village; in 1996, the Xiyan primary school with an investment of 350000 yuan and a construction area of 960 square meters was completed.

In March 1998, Miaofen modern agricultural demonstration park in Zhendong was established, covering an area of 539 mu, with an investment of 1.86 million yuan.
