Huating town is located in the northeast of Jiading District, Shanghai. It is connected with Baoshan District by Hutai highway in the East, Jiading Industrial Zone and xuxing town in the West and south, Liuhe River in the north and Taicang in Jiangsu Province. History of construction

Huating has a long history, as early as the Tang Dynasty (907 AD) has become a land.

Huating township was set up in 1950.

In 1958, it merged with xuxing Township and established xuxing people's commune.

In 1959, Huating people's commune was set up separately.

In 2001, Jiading District removed tangxing town and Huating town and established new Huating town.
