Xinhua Township, subordinate to Qianjiang District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Qianjiang District, adjacent to Taiji Township in the East, Shijia town in the south, Xiaochang Township and tonglou Township in Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County in the west, and Baitu Township in the northwest. History of construction
In song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Youyang chieftain.
In the 13th year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty (1735), after "changing the land to flow", it belonged to rongpingli, Youyang County.
In 1913, it belonged to Beisi township. In 1939, it belonged to Shashi township.
In the spring of 1952, it was transferred from Youyang County to Qianjiang county.
In July 1953, from Shashi township to Diaoquan Township and Xinhua township.
