Longtou town belongs to Chenggu County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the west of Chenggu County, it is adjacent to Bowang street in the East, shaheying town in the south, Wenchuan town in the west, and Juyuan town and Laozhuang town in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 8.1 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 8.9 km, with a total area of 41.40 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
It was first built in 891, the second year of Dashun in Tang Dynasty. It is named because the market town is located at the head of the hill and looks like "Longtou" and has built Longtou temple.
In the Qing Dynasty, along the Ming Dynasty, there were 48 prefectures in the county, and Longtou belonged to Longtou temple, one of the 16 prefectures in the west road.
In 1930, the county was divided into 12 districts, with 7 PAV and 74 dams under its jurisdiction. This area belongs to longtousi dam, 16 dams in the West.
