Longhe Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Sucheng District, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the southwest of Sucheng District, covering an area of 67.6 square kilometers, about 25 kilometers away from the urban area. Longhe town is located at the junction of two provinces, three cities and four counties, known as "Jiming Wen four counties, one step across two provinces". Longhe town has a warm temperate monsoon climate with vast plains and convenient transportation. Longhe town is named for the existence of "Longhe" in its territory. During the period of the Republic of China, the territory belongs to Xiaoyi Township, Buzi City, Suqian county. Longhe town is the hometown of General Zhu Rui, the founder of artillery of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. It is one of the key towns in China and one of the pilot towns at the provincial level. On November 21, 2019, Longhe town was selected into the list of the third batch of national "anti pornography and anti illegal" grassroots demonstration sites.

After liberation, it belonged to Buzi town of Suqian county.

In 1956, it belonged to Buzi district.

In 1957, when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, Longhe township was composed of some villages in Longhe, Caiwei, Xinsheng, Qiwei and other townships.

In 1958, Longhe people's commune was established.

In 1961, affected by the "Cultural Revolution", Longhe people's commune was renamed nonghe people's commune.

In 1981, Longhe people's commune was restored.

In 1984, the rural system was restored, known as Longhe Township, under the leadership of Suqian county.

In 1987, Suqian county was abolished and Suqian City at the county level was established, which belongs to Longhe.

In 1996, Suqian City at the county level was abolished and Sucheng district and Suyu County were established. Longhe belongs to Suyu County.
