Gonghe town

Gonghe town is located in the southeast of Heshan City, bordering Pengjiang district and Xinhui District of Jiangmen City. As of 2017, the town has a total area of 89.93 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 2 communities, 9 villages, 112 natural villages and 32100 people.

Gonghe is a low hilly area with rich natural landscape and beautiful environment. The main historical and cultural sites are the city's key cultural relics protection units, namely, Da'ao Guandi temple and Da'ao ancient camphor tree.

In October 2019, Gonghe town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

Xinhua capital was established in 1732, the third district was changed from the Republic of China to the early days of the people's Republic of China, and the seventh district was changed in 1952. In 1958, it merged with Hecheng and became Hongqi commune. In 1959, it was divided into Gonghe commune and changed into district in 1983. It was built in 1987. In 1996, it covers an area of 88.4 square kilometers and has a population of 24000. It governs nine administrative areas (administrative villages) and one neighborhood committee, namely pinghan, DAAO, Laisu, Jiyuan, Xinmin, Tiegang, Minzu, pankeng and Nankeng.

Sansheng Palace

In China's profound and colorful religious culture, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism are in full bloom. Confucianism respected Confucius and demanded "self-restraint and return to propriety" and "the existence of irrationality and the elimination of human desires". Buddhism worships Sakyamuni and demands spiritual transcendence, Nirvana and self-cultivation. Taoism worships the original heaven and pursues to become immortal. In order to advocate the mutual aid of Tao and Tao, the mutual persuasion of morality, the unity of all things and the Great Harmony of the world. In 1924, Zhao Yuanbo, together with local good Lord Fu Baoan, you Chengde, Wang Fengyuan and others, started to prepare for the construction of the "Sansheng Palace" integrating Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. It took as long as 20 years to complete the construction of the "Sansheng Palace". At that time, "Sansheng Palace" was Helen's largest temple, and it was also a larger temple in the three northeastern provinces. Grand scale, towering pavilions, glass shop top, carved beams and painted columns, exquisite technology, resplendent, majestic. There are ten floors, one Pavilion and 81 halls.

The Dacheng hall is dedicated to the bronze statue of Confucius. Beside it are the statues of Yan Hui, Zi Si, Meng Zi and Zeng Zi.

On the third floor of the hall is a bronze statue of Sakyamuni's Buddha, Maitreya Buddha and burning lamp Buddha. There are also four magic generals standing, four little ghosts of wine, color, wealth and Qi. On both sides of the room is a monument dedicated to the good Lord.

The Sanqing hall is dedicated to the bronze statues of Yuanshi Tianzun, Lingbao Tianzun and moral Tianzun.

The main room of the seventh Temple houses the bronze statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the two side rooms houses the clay statues of Xietian emperor, Wumu Jingzhong emperor, luzu emperor, Wenchang emperor and Zhenwu emperor. On both sides stand the statues of Guan Ping and Zhou Cang.

The main room of the old mother hall is dedicated to the bronze statues of mother Meng, mother-in-law and mother Xu. The rooms on both sides are divided into six parts, namely, the edge part, the head part, the hair part, the blessing part, the good part and the union part. Each part has a room, in which a memorial tablet is dedicated to the almsgiving money of the good Lord.

Taiji Pavilion, seven Zhang two feet high, octagonal pavilion body. The pavilion is divided into three levels: the upper Zeng hall is dedicated to Yuanyuan ancient Buddha, the middle hall is dedicated to Jade Emperor, and the lower hall is dedicated to the memorial tablet of good Lord.

Pure air tower, seven Zhang three feet high, round building body, upper, middle and lower three floor hall, a floor dedicated to the dust-free mother, on both sides of the gold mother, Doumu. The second floor is dedicated to the king of Tibet. On both sides are the statues of Yan Jun in the ten halls. The third floor is dedicated to the tablets of good masters.

Da'ao Guandi Temple

There were more than 20 Guandi temples in Heshan, and only one in Gonghe DAAO village was well preserved. It was rebuilt on the basis of the old temple by local gentry in 1896 and repaired in 1948. The temple covers an area of 357 square meters, including the main block, left and right Qingyun lane and left and right wing rooms. Its construction method is similar to Foshan ancestral temple, reflecting the architectural characteristics of Lingnan temple in the late Qing Dynasty. This small Guandi temple, a collection of architecture, sculpture, calligraphy, couplets, books and other arts, has become a carrier of traditional culture. In 1994, the Municipal People's government designated it as a cultural relic protection unit.
