Yonghe Township
Yonghe township is located in the east of Shimian County, facing Yingzheng and Zaiyang across Dadu River in the north, Xiaobao township of Hanyuan County in the East, Huilong Yi Township in the South and Xinmian town in the west, covering an area of 775.18 square kilometers. The township government is located in Yulong village, 17 kilometers away from the county. Before liberation, Yonghe township was under the jurisdiction of Huilong Township, Yuexi County, formerly known as narba. It is one of the seven rivers in the West Road of Yuexi County.
brief introduction
It was liberated in 1950 and transferred to Shimian County in 1951. In December 1951, the land reform team changed the name of naerba township to Yonghe Township and established the Township People's government with the idea of "forever peace and happy life". On October 2, 1958, Yonghe people's commune was established. In March 1981, the Revolutionary Committee of Yonghe people's commune was changed into the Management Committee of Yonghe people's commune. In March 1984, it was rebuilt as the people's Government of Yonghe township. Yonghe township has 5 administrative villages and 26 villager groups. There are Han, Tibetan, Yi, Hui, Tujia and other nationalities in the township. There are 4517 people in the township (2017). The total area of cultivated land in the township is 4608 mu, with 0.76 mu per capita.
geographical environment
The township is dominated by Zhongshan, with high terrain in the East and South and low terrain in the north. Dagou and Hanjiagou run through the township from south to north, dividing the township into East and west regions. The northern part is between 850m and 1400m above sea level, which is the main grain producing area of the township. Most villagers live here. The mountains from the central part to the southern part are gradually higher, and the altitude is between 1400m and 2900m, with dense forests. The climate belongs to subtropical mountain climate, with annual average temperature of 16 ℃ and annual precipitation of 800mm. Yonghe Township contains granite, limestone, Dali ore, coal mine, asbestos, porcelain clay, copper, silver, quartz and other mineral resources. The reserves of granite, marble and quartz are the largest. Wild animal and plant resources include Cunninghamia lanceolata, coniferous pine, miscellaneous shrubs, bears, Thrushes, pheasants, wild boars, etc. Yonghe township is a famous sericulture base in history. In the process of industrial structure adjustment, the township party committee and government firmly grasp this condition and opportunity to vigorously develop sericulture industry. There are 2 million mulberry trees in Yonghe Township, with an annual output of 44 tons of cocoons in 2004. At the same time, the Township Party committee and government highlight the development of raising chickens and Angora rabbits, and have now formed a base of 150000 commercial chickens The government made use of local resources, optimized the investment environment, actively attracted investment, and successfully auctioned two power supply points of Dagoutou and Yulong power stations, with installed capacity of 3200kW and 2000kW respectively. At present, the power station is under construction.
