Yanglin township is located in Anhua County, Hunan Province, with a total area of 129.41 square kilometers. In 2000, the total population was 22854, the township financial income was 2.97 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1365 yuan.
General situation of hometown
Yanglin township is located in the north of the county, adjacent to Longtang Township in the East, Tianzhuang Township across the river in the south, Dongping town and Muzi Township in the west, and Taoyuan County in the north. The terrain is low in the South and high in the north, with mountains accounting for 80%. Provincial Highway 1802 runs through the whole area, and Zhuxi River and chaxi river flow into Zijiang River. The township government is stationed in Wang Jiayang, Yanglin village. It has jurisdiction over 23 villages and 256 villager groups in Yanglin, Yijia, Jumu, Zhonggu, Po, Zhongwan, Mar, Suyuan, Yujia, Hengxi, Lushan, Yuehuang, Jia, Dahu, Zhuxi, Huangliu, Yutang, guhuang, Shuiping, Shuizhu, juming and Meili. Yanglin got its name before the Ming Dynasty, when there was a pond named "yangliuchi" in the local area. The sky in the pond was bright and cloudy, and the willows around it were shady, so it was named "Yanglin". Its subordinate relationship and administrative division have been changed: Yanglin township was established in 1949, Yanglin commune was called in 1958, and it was changed into township system in 1984; the district was merged with the township in 1995, and the original system was retained. Its four villages, Dabu, shangyanzhu, zhongyanzhu and xiayanzhu, were assigned to Dongping town.
Agriculture
In 2000, there were 8689 Mu paddy fields and 6170 Mu dry soil. It mainly produces rice, sweet potato and corn. The total annual grain output is 7844 tons, including 5726 tons of rice, accounting for 72% of the total output of that year. Compared with 1985, the total output increased by 504 tons or 9.6%. Due to the adjustment of industrial structure and the improvement of varieties, the rice planting area began to decrease year by year after the 1990s.
Forestry
9 mu, accounting for 79. 4% of the total area, with a per capita of nearly 7 mu. Among them, timber forest is 97793 mu, new charcoal forest is 2330 mu, sparse forest is 3784 mu, new forest is 16647 mu, bamboo forest is 9528 mu, Camellia oleifera forest is 7814 mu, tung oil forest is 350 mu. 11 261 mu of forest land and 714 mu of grassland should be returned from farmland. The highest forestry income in 1995 was 3.0669 million yuan, 120 yuan per capita. From 1994 to 2000, the timber income was more than 2 million yuan. There are 47 ancient trees with more than one hundred years old in the township, and one Cyclobalanopsis glauca with a girth of 3.4 meters in Shuiping village.
Animal husbandry and aquaculture
From 1980 to 2000, animal husbandry and aquatic products developed rapidly, especially cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks and fish. Especially in the three years after 1998, the growth rate has accelerated, and the breeding households have developed steadily. In 2000, the township raised 7440 cattle, 21600 pigs, 15000 sheep, 57500 chickens and 8500 ducks, produced 170 tons of fresh fish, and earned 7.48 million yuan from animal husbandry and aquatic products.
Tea and fruit
In 1985, there were 3535 mu tea gardens. In the late 1990s, due to the influence of market price, it was reduced to 2190 mu by 1999. About 2000 teas are produced every year. After the 1990s, fruit has been developed. The annual output of fruits in 1999 is 128.4 tons, 93.95 tons more than that in 1985.
Township Enterprises
In 1986, there were 346 enterprises in the township, including 11 Township run enterprises, 56 village run enterprises, 72 joint run enterprises and 270 individual run enterprises. 925 workers were resettled and the total output value was 4222000 yuan. By 2000, there were 468 enterprises in the township, including 11 Township run enterprises, 8 village run enterprises, 15 joint run enterprises, 434 private enterprises, and 2160 employed workers. Among them, the township enterprises with industrial and commercial registration include citrus farm, Sanba tea farm, golden power station, wood processing plant, Nantou Cannery, tea factory and red brick factory. In that year, the township had industrial income of 1.04 million yuan, construction income of 1.61 million yuan, transportation income of 1.45 million yuan, commercial and service income of 2.72 million yuan, and other income of 3.27 million yuan, totaling 10.09 million yuan.
