Xinhe Street

Xinhe street, belonging to Baqiao District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northernmost part of Baqiao district and the southeast corner of the intersection of Baqiao and Weishui. It is adjacent to bashui and caotan street of Weiyang District in the west, Weihe River and Geng town of Gaoling County in the north, Xiquan street of Lintong County in the East and Xinzhu street in the south, with a total area of 54.5 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

The origin of place names

Donglingcang, formerly known as donglingcang, is one of the Dongling districts of Qin Dynasty, later known as Xinhe village.

History of construction

In 1949, it belonged to Chang'an County.

In 1958, it was assigned to Baqiao District, belonging to Geng town of Xinzhu commune.

In 1960, it belonged to Geng town commune.

In 1963, Mafang, Hujia, Yujia and other villages were designated from Gengzhen commune, Fushan, luobaizhai and other villages were designated from Liushui commune, and Xiaoyan, mijiabao, tianbaobao and other villages were designated from Xinzhu commune. Xinhe commune was merged to form Xinhe commune, named after Xinhe village.

In 1966, it was renamed Yonghong commune.

In 1970, it was renamed Xinhe commune.

In May 1984, the township was set up.

In January 2002, Liushui Township and Xinhe Township were abolished and Xinhe Town was established.

In September 2004, the street was rebuilt.

The maximum distance from east to west is 12.7 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 5.2 km, with a total area of 54.5 square kilometers. The land area is 50.9 square kilometers, accounting for 93.2%; the water area is 3.7 square kilometers, accounting for 6.8%. It is 19 kilometers away from the District People's government.
