On December 23, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Bazhong City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Bazhou District and other three counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 23): cancel Heitan Township, establish Yunding Town, put the administrative areas of former Heitan Township and yuandingzi community of xialiang town under the jurisdiction of Yunding Town, and the people's Government of Yunding town is located at 303 Heitan street.

In December 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province agreed to abolish Heitan Township and establish Yunding town in Nanjiang County, Bazhong City, and put the administrative areas of the former Heitan Township and yuandingzi community of xialiang town under the jurisdiction of Yunding Town, which is located at 303 Heitan street.
