Liaoyuan county is located in the northeast of Liaoning Province. It borders nadanbo town of Dongfeng County in the East, Liaoheyuan town in the south, Shoushan town of Longshan District in the west, Jinzhou Township and Xiwei town of Yitong Manchu Autonomous County in the north. Anshi town has a total administrative area of 204.7 square kilometers.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Anshi town belonged to zhafan Alin Wai of Shengjing paddock. In 1946, Anshi district was established. In December 1984, the township was transformed into a town. In April 2003, Yishan township was incorporated into the city. In late 2018, 27870 people registered residence in the town of an Shi. As of June 2020, Anshi town has jurisdiction over one community and 22 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Anchang community.

Anshi town is located in the northeast of Dongliao County, bordering nadanbo town of Dongfeng County in the East, Liaoheyuan town in the south, Shoushan town of Longshan District in the west, Jinzhou Township and Xiwei town of Yitong Manchu Autonomous County in the north. It is 35 kilometers away from Baiquan Town. The maximum distance between East and West is 20.3 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 18 km. Anshi town is located in the low mountains and hills of Jilin hadaling and the wide valley of Huifa River, and the West foot of Jilin hadaling.
