Based on the development concept of "relying on the advantages of mountain resources, serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers", after in-depth research and learning in 2004, Qili Township officially began to prepare for the development of agritainment tourism project in March 2005. In order to better serve this new industry, in 2005, the township party committee and government increased the tourism development work according to the key points, and constantly paid close attention to the work of agriculture and rural areas. They further adjusted the division of labor of the leading group, and implemented competition for all township cadres. The township cadres are divided into five groups, namely rural working group, policy processing group, project packaging group, tourism development company working group and infrastructure construction group. According to the different expertise of the cadres in each line, the working team of each group should be reasonably equipped according to the personnel, so as to give full play to the existing talent advantages. Through the construction of this work network with clear division of labor and responsibility in place, the cadres are promoted to change from the original extensive management type to the professional skill type in the continuous practice. At the same time, the competition mechanism also promotes the township cadres to have a clear sense of responsibility and a sense of crisis, thus improving their work enthusiasm.
In January 2020, Qili township was selected into the list of beautiful town construction models in Zhejiang Province in 2020.
