Wanbao town
Wanbao town is under the jurisdiction of Songbei District of Harbin city. Located in the northwest of Harbin City, it is adjacent to Hulan District in the north, Qianjin Township in the East, xiaohezi, a tributary of Songhua River in the south, and Zhaodong city in the West.
Historical evolution
In the late Qing Dynasty, wanbaotun was under the jurisdiction of Funan township of Hulan.
During the period of the Republic of China, Wanbao town was established.
After the fall of Northeast China, it was first the town of Wanbao, and then the village of Wanbao.
In 1945, after the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese War, it was subordinate to Le'an District of Hulan County.
In May 1946, it was put under the jurisdiction of the 12th district of Zhaodong county.
Wanbao township was established in March 1956.
In September 1958, it was renamed Wanbao people's commune.
In January 1960, it was under the jurisdiction of Harbin City, and initially belonged to Daoli District.
In March 1963, it was assigned to Binjiang District.
In August 1972, it was put under the jurisdiction of Daowai District.
In 1984, the government and society were separated and changed to Wanbao township.
In March 1985, it was changed into Wanbao town.
Economics
Wanbao town is a suburban town in Harbin, which grows both food and vegetables, and is also an industrial, agricultural and commercial town. The total area of the town is 104 square kilometers, with 89000 mu of cultivated land. The level of agricultural mechanization is relatively high, with more than 50% of the field machinery operation and 40% of the effective irrigation area. In 1990, the total social output value of the town reached 63.41 million yuan, of which 47% was township enterprises.

The town has 10 villages, including Wanbao, Wanyou, Huajia, Jubao, Houcheng, Shuangyu, Xuebao, Yuyu, Taiping and Zhaomu. The town government is located in wanbaotun.
Population nationality
At the end of 1992, the total population of the town was 26000, including 1111 non-agricultural people, which was composed of six ethnic groups, including Han, Manchu, Mongolian, Hui and Korean.
