Xinmin Town, subordinate to Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Fuxin Mongolian Autonomous County. It is adjacent to Daban Town and Guohua Township in the mountains of Yiwulu mountains in the East, Beining City and Yixian County of Jinzhou City in the south, Dongliang town and wofenggou in the West. Its total area is 148.37 square kilometers.
In December 1949, it was the 11th district of Fuxin County. In March 1956, it was changed into Xinmin Township. In September 1958, it was changed into paradise commune. In March 1961, it was renamed Xinmin commune. In September 1983, Xinmin Township was rebuilt. In October 1998, the township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xinmin Town was 16494. As of June 2020, Xinmin Town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Xinmin village.
