Taihe Town
Taihe Town, belonging to Hechuan District of Chongqing, is located in the west of Hechuan District, bordering Dashi street in the East, Weituo town in the south, Gaolou town in Tongliang District in the southwest, fenikou Township and Shanghe town in Tongnan District in the northwest, and Longxing town in the north. It is 36 kilometers away from the people's Government of Hechuan District, with a total area of 156.71 square kilometers.
In 1728 (the sixth year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty), it belonged to the Daheba of laisuli in Hezhou; in 1926 (the fifteenth year of the Republic of China), it was changed from Tai'an town to Taihe Town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Taihe Town was 82475. As of June 2020, Taihe Town has 3 communities and 21 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Taihe Town is located at No. 20, Zhongxin street.
In 2018, there were 66 industrial enterprises in Taihe Town, including 8 Enterprises above the designated size and 30 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Qing Yongzheng six years (1728), belong to Hezhou to Suli big dam. In 1748, Taihe hall was built. In 1906, Taihe Chang was renamed Tai'an town.
In 1926, Taian town was renamed Taihe Town. In 1932, it belonged to the fourth district. In 1937, the town of Taihe established Baiyan township. In 1939, Mulian township was merged into Taihe Town. In 1941, Taihe Town established Mulian township.
In March 1951, Taihe Town set up a small river and Fuxing township.
In September 1958, Taihe Town merged with Fuxing, foyan and Mulian townships to form Taihe commune.
In September 1959, Taihe commune was withdrawn, Taihe Town was restored, and Fuxing commune, foyan commune and Mulian commune were newly established.
In December 1983, Fuxing commune, foyan commune and Mulian commune were transformed into townships.
In February 1985, Shiling (formerly Fuxing) township was merged into Taihe Town.
In December 1992, Shajin and Xiaohe townships were merged into Taihe Town.
In 1993, Taihe Town set up Xiaohe township.
In June 2001, Mulian town and Xiaohe Township were merged into Taihe Town.
In April 2005, foyan town was merged into Taihe Town.

The main natural disasters in Taihe Town include drought, low temperature, frost, lightning strike, rainstorm and flood. The most serious one occurred on the night of July 13, 1981. A catastrophic flood occurred in the Fujiang River Basin, with the highest water level of 232.68 meters. All the farmland and houses along the river basin were submerged.
