Tucheng Township
Tucheng township is under the jurisdiction of Pingwu County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. Located in the northwest of the county, 57 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 216 square kilometers.
General situation
Tucheng Tibetan township is under the jurisdiction of Pingwu County. In 1952, it set up urban and rural areas, changed to commune in 1958, and restored to township in 1984.
Name and origin
Tucheng Township, in the northwest of the county, was once a village inhabited by baimapan people. Because this place is surrounded by earth walls, it looks like a city wall. Later Han people came to live in the area, named Tuchengzi, or Tucheng for short, which was restored to Tucheng Tibetan Township on May 18, 2008.

Tuchengzi village regiment was set up in the Qing Dynasty. in 1929, tuer tuanlian office was established. From April to June of the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), the Red Army of China established a Soviet government in both urban and rural areas. in 1936, the Turk joint insurance was established. in the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it was built in urban and rural areas. In 1950, it still established Tucheng township. Yongxing township was established in 1951. He was incorporated in 1956. In 1958, Tucheng people's commune was established. Yongfeng people's commune was established in 1964. In 1984, it was still renamed Tucheng township. in 1992, Haihe River merged into Tucheng and rural areas. Since then, the construction has not changed until the end of 2005.
Administrative division
Daqiao town in the east of the township borders Sier Tibetan Township in the south, Huya Tibetan Township in the West and crystal town in the north. In October 1992, the state implemented the policy of withdrawing districts to build towns and merging townships. The former Haihe township was merged into Tucheng and rural areas. After the merger of the two townships, Fengxiang, Zhifang, Tucheng, Maoxiang, Dumu, Wuli, Dashan, Yongfeng and Xinglong were under the jurisdiction of nine administrative villages and 50 villager groups, covering an area of 221.98 square kilometers and 12987 mu of cultivated land. By the end of 2005, there were 1617 households and 6243 permanent residents (178 of them were non-agricultural population), 62% of whom were ethnic minorities. The township government was 18 kilometers southeast of crystal road to Daqiao town. Under the jurisdiction of the township, there are 9 administrative villages, including Fengxiang, Zhifang, Tucheng, Maoxiang, Dumu, Wuli, Dashan, Yongfeng and Xinglong, and 50 villager groups. Tucheng Tibetan countryside governs nine village committees.
Resources and environment
Agriculture mainly produces corn, wheat, potato and rice. Specialty "four wood herbs" (namely: phellodendron, Magnolia, eucommia, ginkgo) walnut, lacquer, Gastrodia elata.

These folk songs have a strong flavor of life, simple language, easy to learn, easy to sing, easy to understand and easy to spread. Tucheng Township also plays suona in weddings, funerals and celebrations. The whole suona ensemble consists of 4-6 people with gongs and drums. The repertoire varies according to the ceremony.
Religion
1. Buddhism < br > there is a temple named Haihe temple in Yongfeng Village, Tucheng township. It was built in the late Ming Dynasty, covering an area of more than 300 square meters. There are seven ancient cypresses in the temple, but only two of them are left after being destroyed. It is a national key protected ancient tree. The temple has a long history. Its building was destroyed during the cultural revolution, and then restored in 1979 for renovation. At present, the temple is often guarded by a guard. Every year, a Buddhist meeting is held on the eighth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar. The Guanyin meeting is held on the 19th day of the February, June and September of the lunar calendar. At every temple fair, believers are invited to worship the Buddha in the mountains, offer incense and make a wish. It is also common to burn incense and worship the Buddha in the temple. 2. Catholicism < br > from 1885 to 1893, Catholicism was introduced into Tucheng by French priest Lao Bushan, mainly distributed in Maoxiang village, Tucheng village and Fengxiang village.
At the time of liberation, there were 11 houses in Tucheng Catholic Church, about 576 square meters. Among them, the two main rooms of the church are 336 square meters, and the ancillary rooms and toilets are 240 square meters, accounting for nearly half of the site of Tucheng town. After liberation, all the houses in the street area were occupied by the township health center, and now there are only two street facades, about 100 square meters. In 1950, the house in the middle street area was occupied by the school. On August 16, 1984, the house occupied by the Central Primary School in Tucheng township was returned to the Catholic Church, and the subsidiary house was compensated to the Catholic Church at a discount of 10600 yuan. At present, Tucheng Catholic Church is located in the middle street of Xiangchang town. It has a church, two front doors and five living rooms, covering an area of about 1000 square meters. There are more than 2300 Catholics. Every Friday, all the members of the church do not eat pork, but vegetarian. Every Sunday, the church members go to the streets to have a rest, and the believers go to church for morning classes (chanting).
