Qianjin Street used to belong to Xiayang sub County of Nanping County, Yanping Prefecture. It is composed of four parts: Xiayang zhonghouyu, shetantou, xiapuzi and Guanyin Pavilion.

At the time of land reform, it was the junior cooperative and the later senior cooperative of the farmers' Association of Xiayang Yiyong street in seven districts of Nanping County.

Xiayang people's commune was established at the end of August 1958. He once served as the Management Committee of the volunteer brigade of Xiayang Hongzhuan people's commune.

In 1984, it was renamed Qianjin Street Committee of Xiayang Town, Nanping City.

In 1995, it was renamed Qianjin Street Committee of Xiayang Town, Yanping District, Nanping City.

History and culture

The origin of street name

In 1937, the Lugouqiao Incident broke out on July 7. With the joint efforts of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the war of resistance against Japan was raging in the motherland and Nanping County at the same time. The tide of Anti Japanese inspired the hot-blooded young people in Xiayang. They donated money and materials under the guidance of the joint security office and the chamber of commerce at that time. Young men over 18 years old organized uprising and anti Japanese teams one after another. Under the leadership of team leader Wang Liyu, who is in charge of the Anti Japanese War of Nanping County Government, and the supervisor of Xiayang pressure department, they signed up to join the Anti Japanese team, followed by a military class. They practiced every day to protect the local security. Women came forward from the school to organize the women's team. Not only do they take military classes, drill and other military projects, but they also rehearse with passion, such as anti Japanese TV dramas, to publicize the Anti Japanese war. At the same time, they often go to the streets or the countryside to publicize and March. At that time, the slogan was "don't be a subjugated slave, rather die in the battlefield" to defeat the Japanese aggressors and win the war of resistance. In order to commemorate the Anti Japanese war activities, zhonghouyu was changed into Yiyong street to commemorate the future. Many young people have signed up to join the regular army. In Nanping, he formed a supplementary regiment, which was later incorporated into the command of Li Yutang division of the third division of the 59th army. Then he went through Jianyang and Pucheng Jiangshan, pointed directly to Taierzhuang, and put into the famous Taierzhuang campaign. After the victory of the Taierzhuang campaign, it was found that most of the young people who joined the army in Xiayang town died in the battlefield. Only Ying Yanxiang, Guo Shengpei and Luo Wenwen returned to their hometown. Huang Shiqing, the head of Xiayang district at that time, presented them with "medals and framed certificates of dedication to the country". It is a pity that the three meritorious officials died and the material evidence was destroyed during the "Cultural Revolution".
