Historical evolution

In March 1975, it was set up separately from Chengguan commune, initially known as vegetable commune. In May of the same year, it was changed to Shuguang township.

administrative division

At the end of 2011, Shuguang Township had five villagers' committees, including Shuguang, Hongsheng, Zengfeng, Qingfeng and Yongqiang, and 35 villagers' groups.

As of June 2020, Shuguang township has jurisdiction over one community, eight administrative villages and Township People's government.
