Traffic Street

Jiaotong street is located in the west of Yuehu District, Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province. It is adjacent to Jiangbian and Siqing streets along Jiaotong road in the East, Sihai road and Xihu road in the south, Wuzhou road and Siqing street in the west, Xinjiang River in the north and Xiabu Township across the river. The total area is about 2.5 square kilometers. Population 38009 (2010).

Historical evolution

The street is named after the traffic street. Jiaotong street was the only access to the railway station in Yingtan before the founding of the people's Republic of China, with 12 shops on both sides. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the No.7 Bao of Yingtan Town, Guixi County; after the founding of new China, it belonged to Jiaotong sub district government of Yingtan Town, Guixi County; in 1957, Yingtan town was separated from Guixi county and called Jiaotong sub district office of Yingtan town; in 1958, Yingtan town was merged into Guixi county and belonged to Xijie Office of Yingtan town. In 1960, the county and town were divided, and Yingtan town was separated from Guixi county again, belonging to Yingxi commune of Yingtan town; in 1961, Yingxi commune of Yingtan town was abolished and established as urban commune, belonging to urban commune. In 1962, the urban commune was abolished and divided into seven streets: jinshanlong, Shanbei, Jiangbian, bus station, Jiaotong, Dongzhan and zhubu. In 1963, the seven streets were merged into the urban commune, which was called the traffic residents committee of Yingtan town. In November 1978, the urban people's commune was abolished and changed into a street system, which was called Traffic Street. There were 2375 households and 10959 people in the street, and 9 neighborhood committees were under the jurisdiction of traffic, Xinjian, square, power plant, chemical plant, phosphate fertilizer plant, water pump plant, ceramics and 223 teams. In 2005, it has jurisdiction over 9 communities, including Baijia City, new Plaza, Shengxi, Zhanjiang, Shangcheng, Lianhua, phosphate fertilizer plant, chemical plant and 223 teams.

When Jiaotong street was rebuilt in November 1978, the former Yingtan Town Committee and the town reform committee set up the general Party branch committee and office in Jiaotong street. In 1984, the Hu District Committee abolished the general branch and established the Jiaotong Street Party committee. From time to time, there were 15 government officials. At the end of 2002, it was transformed into a street Party Working Committee. In 1978, the Ministry of people's armed forces was established. In 2002, the District People's Congress established the working committee of Jiaotong street people's Congress. In 2005, there were 22 cadres in the street organs, and the party and government organs in the street were located at 2 Lianhua South Road, Yingtan City.

After the establishment of Jiaotong sub district office, it has successively established transportation construction teams, transportation hotels, transportation restaurants, transportation paper mills, mosquito repellent incense factories, etc. In 1980, the output value was 385000 yuan.
