Lixi Town, subordinate to Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the south of Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County. It is connected with Waxi Township, Songtao County, Guizhou Province in the East, nanyaojie town and Xiaojing Township, Yanhe County, Guizhou Province in the south, Shasha Town, Yanhe County, Guizhou Province in the west, nanmu Township, Guanqing Township and Rongxi Town, Xiushan County in the north, and 78 kilometers away from Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County in the north The total area is 224 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, Lixi town was under the jurisdiction of Youxi cave and Ganping cave. In July 2001, Lixi town was replaced by Lixi town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Li Xi Town was 35097. As of June 2020, Lixi town has 9 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Lixi town is located in ECHI village.
The main food crops in Lixi town are rice and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs and goats. In 2018, Lixi town had 20 industrial enterprises and 13 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Lixi town is named after Lizixi, which produces hollow plums.
In Ming Dynasty, the territory was under the jurisdiction of Youxi cave and Ganping cave.
In 1646, the territory was under the jurisdiction of ganpingli. In 1875, it was under the jurisdiction of Naner Township and Nansan township.
In 1935, the territory was divided into the fourth district and the second guidance district.
In the winter of 1950, the district government was established in Lizixi.
In 1952, the district government moved from Lizixi to Yangjiaba. In order to respect history and distinguish itself from Lizixi, it changed its name to Lixi commune.
In May 1981, Lixi commune was changed into Lixi township.
In July 2001, Lixi township was changed from township to town.

Niuchangba, the lowest point, is located at Tiantai village, with an altitude of 450 meters.
