Dalin Town, belonging to Horqin district, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Horqin district. It borders Horqin Left Wing Middle Banner in the East and North, Horqin Left wing rear banner in the South and Qianjiadian town in Horqin district in the West. The area is 552.9 square kilometers. In June 1964, the working committee was removed and Dalin town was set up. It originally governed five small communes at the same level as the town and existed independently. In July 1969, the town and five small communes were removed and merged to form Dalin commune. In June 2006, the administrative divisions of dahanjiao town and dahanjiao town were adjusted. As of June 2020, Dalin town has jurisdiction over 2 communities, 58 administrative villages and 4 living areas.

By the end of 2018, there were 39 industrial enterprises in Dalin Town, including one industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 364 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

From 1931 to 1945, it was the residence of the puppet village office.

In August 1961, Jiaogan and Dahan were set up as communes respectively, and rocket commune was changed into Dalin Working Committee, the agency of Tongliao people's Commission, which is responsible for managing five small communes, namely Baoan, Dalin, Guili, ujile and harigantu.
