Tiexi Street
Tiexi street, belonging to Wulanhaote City, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Wulanhaote City. It is adjacent to Baicheng Arshan railway line and Shengli Street in the East, guiliuhe railway bridge in the south, guiliuhe road and suburban street in the west, Qingfeng street and Dulin street in the North. By the end of 2011, Tiexi street had a total area of 3.6 square kilometers and a total population of 22168.
In 1946, the government of wangyemiao Street set up Tiexi District; in 1947, Wulanhaote was changed into Tiexi District; in August 1956, Tiexi township was established; in 1962, Tiexi commune was changed; in 1963, it was abolished; in 1980, Tiexi street was set up after the reconstruction of Wulanhaote. In June 2020, Tiexi Street governs four communities.
At the end of 2011, Tiexi street had one industrial enterprise above Designated Size with 2304 employees, realizing an industrial added value of 311 million yuan, an increase of 7.94% over the previous year.
Historical evolution
In 1946, the government of wangyemiao Street set up Tiexi District.
In 1947, Ulanhot was changed into Tiexi District after it was established as a city.
In 1952, it was renamed suburb, and four village offices under its jurisdiction were abolished.
In July 1954, four village offices were rebuilt.
In August 1956, Tiexi township was established.
In 1960, Tiexi Branch of Ulanhot commune was established.
In 1962, it was changed into Tiexi commune.
In 1963, it was withdrawn.
In 1980, Tiexi street was set up after the reconstruction of Ulanhot city.

In the total population, there are 10577 males, accounting for 47.71%; 11591 females, accounting for 52.29%; 2656 persons under 14 years old, accounting for 11.98%; 16784 persons between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 75.71%; 2728 persons over 65 years old, accounting for 12.31%. In the total population, 16650 people (75.11%) are mainly Han nationality, and there are 6 ethnic minorities (5518 people, 24.89%) including Mongolia, Manchu, Hui and Korea. There are more than 900 ethnic minorities, including Mongolian and Manchu, of which 3328 are Mongolian, accounting for 60.31% of the minority population, and 987 are Manchu, accounting for 17.89%.
