Shuanghe town
Shuanghe town belongs to Zhidan County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the south of Zhidan County, adjacent to zhuanyaowan town of Ansai District in the East, Danba town in the west, Baoan street and Xinghe town in the north, and Yongning Town in the south. The maximum distance from east to west is 24.3 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 19.1 km, with a total area of 431.9 square kilometers. The land area is 420.5 square kilometers, accounting for 97.4%; the water area is 11.4 square kilometers, accounting for 2.6%.
Shuanghe town is a provincial demonstration town of safe construction, a provincial civilized town, a provincial advanced town of disabled people's work, a provincial advanced health unit, and an outstanding contributor to the construction of three North shelterbelts.
As of June 2020, Shuanghe town has 15 administrative villages. As of 2018, the population of Shuanghe town registered residence was 18155. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Shuanghe town was 71.1 million yuan, the total industrial output value was 91.76 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 56 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In 1810, there were two big trees growing on the Zhouhe river. The village was named shuangshuhe village. The township is named after the village.
At the beginning of 1949, it belonged to Taiping District.
In 1958, it belonged to Chengguan commune.
In 1961, Shuanghe commune was established.
In 1984, Shuanghe township was established.
On June 28, 2015, Shaanxi Province adjusted the township administrative division, abolished Shuanghe Township and established Shuanghe town.

Water system hydrology
The rivers in Shuanghe town belong to the Luohe River system of the Yellow River Basin. The main river is Zhouhe, which enters Xinfeng village of Baoan town from the South and runs through Shuanghe, Xiangyanggou and Mazigou villages from the north to the south, with a length of 16.7 km.
