Changtaizhen
Changtai town is located in the northwest of Chengxiang District, Putian City, Fujian Province, 118 ° 55 ′ E and 25 ° 45 ′ n. It is located on the Bank of Dongzhen Reservoir, adjacent to Xitianwei town of Licheng District in the East, Jiulihu scenic spot of Xianyou County in the west, Huating town in the South, Baisha Town and zhuangbian town of Hanjiang District in the north.
In 2017, the administrative area of Changtai town was 19021 hectares, with a permanent resident population of 23098.
Region profile
Changtai Town, located in the northwest of Chengxiang District, is 18 kilometers long from north to South and 16.3 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 201 square kilometers. The total land area is 242800 mu (including 7500 mu of cultivated land, 226100 mu of mountainous land and 72815 mu of fruit land), the per capita cultivated land area is 0.18 mu, and the multiple cropping index is 100%; the per capita mountainous area is 5.8 mu, and the forest coverage rate is 87.3%. The lowest altitude is 80 meters and the highest is 832.6 meters. It is located at the end of Gushan Mountain. It mainly produces loquat, longan, olive, banana and other crops.
The climate of Changtai town belongs to the south subtropical marine monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 17-20 ℃ and an average annual rainfall of 1446 mm. The main mineral resources are iron, nickel, serpentine, talc, etc. the town government is located at Liyang 1, Changtai village, 14km away from the city. Changtai town has a glorious revolutionary history. As early as the mid-1930s, it was one of the revolutionary bases in central Fujian (there are 27 base villages in the old area). There are undulating mountains in the area. The famous Dongzhen Reservoir (Zhenhu Yingbi in Putian new 24 scenes) lies in the area. There is a National Forest Park, Jiulonggu 4A scenic spot (Longgu Benquan in Putian new 24 scenes).
Historical evolution
It is said that in ancient times, there was a dynasty in which the people were harassed by soldiers and bandits in successive years of war. Local farmers organized villagers to resist the plunder of soldiers and bandits and defend their homes by overlapping mountains and easily defending the terrain. It was named changtaili, chongye township outside the west gate of Putian.
From the Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty to the early Ming Dynasty, Changtai was under the jurisdiction of changtaili, fengchengli and baofengli respectively.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was called Changtai Township Office. Later, it was set up as Yucang, Qinglong and Makou townships in Putian County.
After the founding of new China, Putian County for the eighth district office.
July 1952 is the 14th District of Putian County.
From September 1955 to September 1991, it was Changtai District, Changtai commune and Changtai Township in Putian County.
It was Changtai town in Putian County in October 1992 and Changtai town in Chengxiang District on May 1, 2002.

Changtai town has a south subtropical marine monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 18-20 ℃, an average sunshine of 1996 hours, a frost free period of 330-350 days, an annual rainfall of 1400-1900 mm, and a pleasant southeast wind all year round. It is warm and humid, with flowers blooming all year round and delicious fruits in four seasons.
The terrain of Changtai town is an Intermountain basin, surrounded by low mountains and hills. The central terrain is relatively low. It has intercepted Yanshou River and become Dongzhen Reservoir, with a capacity of 320 million cubic meters and a water area of 17.7 square kilometers. The reservoir is the source of industrial, agricultural and domestic water in Putian City.

In 2006, the total social output value of Changtai town was 560 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 4900 yuan. As Changtai town is located on the Bank of Dongzhen Reservoir, the development of township enterprises is restricted. It mainly relies on more than 10000 labor force to go out to develop secondary and tertiary industries such as food processing, clothing, hairdressing and construction, with an annual output value of 150 million yuan.
In 2009, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in Changtai town was 280.26 million yuan, accounting for 119% of the annual plan of 235.1 million yuan; the total investment in fixed assets was 103.2 million yuan, accounting for 100.3% of the annual plan of 110 million yuan, an increase of 2.5 times over 2008; the fiscal revenue was 4.34 million yuan (including 1 million yuan of tax), accounting for 118.18% of the task of 4 million yuan assigned by the district government; the per capita net income of farmers was 7185 yuan , an increase of 12.5% over the previous year. In the first half of the year, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 197 million yuan, accounting for 79.5% of the annual plan of 279.5 million yuan; the total investment in fixed assets was 29.24 million yuan, accounting for 53.16% of the annual plan of 55 million yuan; the financial revenue was 2.88 million yuan, accounting for 56.5% of the task of 5.1 million yuan assigned by the district government.
Changtai town has 7090 mu of cultivated land, including 3994 mu of paddy field and 3096 mu of dry land. The mountainous area is 226100 mu, 5.9 mu per capita, 80000 mu of fruit is developed and planted, 84000 mu of ecological public welfare forest is developed, and the forest coverage rate is 82%.
Jiefangzhong loquat in Changtai town has been listed as "famous and high-quality crop base in south subtropical zone" and "the first loquat town in China" by the Ministry of agriculture for two consecutive years (June 1996 and February 2002). In the past ten years, we have made full use of the natural advantages of rich mountain resources, abundant rainfall and deep soil layer to develop fruit production. At present, the area of loquat is 80000 mu, 8 times more than that in 1984, and the output is 15000-20000 tons. The product benefits from the unique climate of Dongzhen Reservoir area. Through science and technology, it has high grade and high quality. The single fruit weight is more than 80% of more than 60g.
In recent years, high-quality loquat has been sold at home and abroad. Changtai town firmly established brand awareness, registered "Changtai loquat" trademark for fruits, obtained the right to use "green food" logo and the title of "Fujian famous brand product".

Changtai town is 14 km away from the urban area, and the nearest SONGFENG village is only 3 km away from the urban area. A 40 km ecological agricultural road for tourism and sightseeing around Dongzhen Reservoir has been built. In November 2006, cement roads were opened to every village, with a mileage of 136 km. Every day, there are more than 20 buses through Juxi, dangkeng, Mayuan, Yangbian and Donghai. The town has a program-controlled telephone module office, 7 access networks, the current installed telephone capacity of 5800. There are 15 mobile phone stations, and digital mobile phones are used. The program-controlled telephone can directly communicate with more than 1500 cities and counties in China and 220 countries and regions in the world.
A water supply plant with a daily water supply of 500 tons has been built in the market town, which can supply domestic water for 10000 people. There is a Yuanli hydropower station with an installed capacity of 4660 kwh, an annual power generation of more than 12 million kwh, and a 35 kV substation.

Human history
Changtai town is the birthplace of Putian to ignite the revolutionary fire. As early as 1927, 1931 and 1934, CPC Branches in changtaishanmen, Shangju, Houping and Makou were successively established. In the autumn of 1935, Putian special committee held the second party League joint and military conference in changtaijichuan, where the base area was established and the second guerrilla detachment of the workers' and peasants' Red Army in central Fujian was established. The headquarters of the detachment and the office of the special committee were also located in changtaijichuan. In May 1936, in order to meet the needs of the "Anti Japanese and anti Jiang" situation, the central Fujian Special Committee formally established the "central Fujian Anti Japanese volunteer army" in changtaijichuan, where its office is still located. In November 1942, the special commission organs and radio stations were safely transferred from Fuqing to Changtai base via Yongtai. The Office organs and radio stations were set up on the "niunostril" mountain in Jichuan, and the director of the station was Liu Fahai, a cadre in the long march. In August 1943, the Fujian provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China moved back to Changtai from Northern Fujian.
In 1958, Putian County decided to build Dongzhen Reservoir, the second largest reservoir in the province, in the heart of Changtai town. The construction of supporting works was started in 1958. In September 1959, the Dongzhen channel was fully constructed. In order to benefit millions of people in Changtai County, Changtai people carried forward the spirit of selfless dedication of the people in the old area, flooded 10000 mu of fertile land, relocated 2885 farmers, and had a population of 14200.
Characteristic products
Jiefangzhong loquat is one of the four famous fruits in Putian. Its shape is like an ancient bell. Its skin is yellow and red. Its flesh is crisp and tender, juicy and sweet. The largest single fruit weighs 172 grams, ranking first in the world. On April 25, 1999, May 10, 2000 and April 30, 2001, three press conferences and trade fairs of Fujian Putian (Changtai) loquat festival were held in Yangbian village, Changtai Town, Beijing and Singapore respectively. From 2002 to 2007, six Fujian Putian loquat festivals and loquat promotion conferences were held in Chongqing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Jinan, Harbin and Urumqi, respectively.
Changtai town is the designated production base of black sows in Fujian Province. It raises more than 1000 sows and produces 10000 piglets every year. It grows fat fast and has a high rate of piglets. Piglets are sold to all cities and counties in Fujian Province.
