Yulin Town, belonging to Ji'an City, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Ji'an City, bordering on Maxian Township in the East, Weiyuan County of Korea across Yalu River in the south, Dalu town and Liangshui Korean Township in the west, Taishang town in the north, 29 kilometers away from Ji'an City, with a total area of 284.52 square kilometers.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Yulin town was located in Huairen county. In November 1984, Yulin town was replaced by Yulin town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Yulin town was 11639. As of June 2020, Yulin town has one community and nine administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in the middle of Yulin village.

History of construction
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Huairen county. In 1902, it was assigned to Ji'an County.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to ronghebao of Xier township. In 1923, there were two districts. In 1934, it was the residence of the second district. In 1937, Yulin village was established.
In February 1956, Yulin, Taiping, huolonggai, Fuxing, yingshuilazi and digou were established.
In September 1958, Yulin, Taiping and yingshuilazi townships were merged into Yuejin commune; in December of the same year, they were renamed Yulin commune.
In May 1961, Yulin commune was divided into Yulin commune and Taiping commune.
In March 1983, Yulin commune was changed into Yulin township.
In November 1984, Yulin township was replaced by Yulin town.
