Babao township

Babao Yi and Miao township is an ethnic township under the jurisdiction of Dafang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. It is 65 kilometers away from Dafang County, 35 kilometers away from Bijie City, 25 kilometers away from Bijie Shuangshan new district. It is close to Bijie Xiaoba high tech Industrial Park, Daxi town and Hetao town in the East, Xiangshui town in the south, Xiaoba town and xiaojichang town in qixingguan District in the west, and Xinglong Town in the north.

The name of Babao

At Xiaoxigou corn at the foot of Qinglong mountain on the right side of huangjiazhai, about 100 meters away from juer road in the east of Babao Street, and about 50 meters in front of the original Guanqing Temple (the old school building of Babao primary school), there are eight big stones that look like frogs. Their heads face Babao Street, and their feet are close to the earth sill. It is found that if the drought lasts for a long time, the frog's whole body will be wet, and it will soon rain. If it's cloudy and rainy for a long time, the frog's whole body will be dry, and a sunny day will soon appear.

The strange image of the stone frog attracts people's attention. Every time we go to the market, the small streets are crowded and very busy. It's like having eight frogs. For this reason, with the change of the name of "New Castle Street" to "New Castle Street".

Another way of saying is that the eight fortresses were a military unit in Ming Dynasty, which was the first level of the garrison.

Babao township is 14.5 km long from north to South and 11.5 km wide from east to west.

Babao has convenient transportation and obvious location advantages. Ju'er road runs through the whole territory from north to south. It is connected with Dana highway, an auxiliary channel for Sichuan and Guizhou to go to sea in the north and Guibi highway in the south. It is 14 km away from Dana highway and 35 km away from Bijie City. It is very convenient to enter Sichuan and Yunnan.

Babao is adjacent to Bijie Feixiong airport. Juer road is connected to Xiaowa expressway. Now it only takes about 0.5 hours.

Culture

Yang boyao, an enlightened person graduated from Huangpu Military Academy, set up education in Zhongqing to cultivate talents and develop economy. In 1935, the red army passed through Babao during the long march.
