Dongcheng Street, belonging to Longtan District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the east of Longtan District, bordering JIANGMIFENG town in the East, Jiangnan township of Fengman District in the south, Longdong community of Yushu street in the west, Chengde street in the north, 6.5km away from Longtan District government, with a total area of 10 square kilometers.
In 1958, the area around Dongcheng Street was huangshanzuizi village; in April 2004, it was changed from Tiantai Economic Management Committee of Longtan District to Dongcheng Street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Dongcheng Street was 7985. As of June 2020, Dongcheng Street has jurisdiction over one community and one administrative village: Longshan community and Tiantai village. The sub district office is located at 2756-1 Longshan road.
In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Dongcheng Street was 17.22 million yuan; there were 140 commercial outlets with 560 employees; the total sales of social goods was 60 million yuan, an increase of 200% over 2010.
History of construction
In 1958, it was named huangshanzuizi village, belonging to Dalazi village, beidianzi village and Yumin village in Jiangnan township of Fengman District.
After 1958, it was transferred to Longtanshan commune and changed into Tiantai group (Tiantai Village).
In September 1999, Tiantai economic management zone, Longtan District, Jilin City, was established.
In October 2003, Longtan District Tiantai economic management area was changed into Longtan District Tiantai economic management committee.
In April 2004, Longtan District Tiantai economic management committee was changed into Dongcheng Street.
