Xiushui Town, belonging to Yushu City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Yushu City, bordering Baoshou town in the East, Dapo town in the south, Chaoyang Township and Chalukou town of Dehui city across the Songhua River in the southwest, Huancheng Township and Minjia town in the northeast, Liujia town in the northwest, 21 kilometers away from Yushu City, 176 kilometers away from Changchun City in the southwest, covering an area of 215.19 square kilometers.
In the 38th year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty (1699), the post station of dengyilezhe was set up in Xiushui town; in 1992, it was changed from Xiushui town to Xiushui town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Xiushui town was 50980. As of June 2020, Xiushui town has 16 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is stationed in Xiushui village.

History of construction
In the 38th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1699), dengyilezhe post station was set up.
In 1932, Xiushui police station was set up. In 1938, Xiushui society was reformed. In 1940, Xiushui union branch was transformed into Xiushui village office. In 1945, it belonged to the ninth autonomous region. In 1946, Songhuajiang sub district office was set up. In January 1947, it was assigned to Yunan County; in November of the same year, it was assigned to the Tenth District of Yushu county.
In 1956, Xiushui Township, Hougou Township and Tianjia Township were established, belonging to Baoshou district.
