The East Street is located in the ancient city of Suzhou, parallel to Fengmen West Street, and perpendicular to the East and West ends of Fengmen cross street. South to Chaotian bridge, north to the road bridge, across the bridge that cross the street and stone gun head connected.

Brief overview

There were about 20 small shops, mainly for farmers. Since the mid-1950s, it has become a residential area. Most of them are bungalows with narrow rooms and low and hanging doors, all of which belong to the rural pattern. The street is 206 meters long and 2.5 meters wide. In 1988, the stone pavement was changed to cement hexagonal pavement.
