Xiangyang town is located in the northwest of Tian'e County, across from banren and dating township of Luodian County, Guizhou Province; in the southwest, it borders Xinhua township of Leye County; in the west, it borders Xialao Township in the county; in the East, it borders Pojie and Liupai; in the south, it connects Bala and Nazhi township. It is the junction of eight townships in three counties, three cities (autonomous prefectures) and two provinces (autonomous regions), and it is the most complex Township in the county. Nanian, the seat of the government, is 47 kilometers away from Tiane county. With a total area of 696.2 square kilometers, the town governs 15 administrative villages, including Xiangyang, Jiangan, pingla, Longyu, linlie, Linxi, Quanping, Niuchang, dangming, Haizhou, Lintan, Yanlai, Yanli, dangai, Banlong, and 255 villager groups, with a total population of 28906. There are 13 ethnic groups, including Zhuang, Han, Yao, Miao, and 6800 permanent residents. With convenient transportation, Xiangyu railway, Baotou Maoming Expressway and Ziyu highway run through the whole town, and every village in the town is connected with cement roads.
