Duancun Township
Duancun township is located in the northwest of Xian County, 19 kilometers away from the county, east to Shanglin Township, South to Zhangcun Township, West to Monan Town, north to Hejian City and Suning County. Suxian road and xianrao road run through the township from east to west, and the three township level north-south roads are all hardened; zita trunk canal and Duancun trunk canal pass through the township, so the traffic is very convenient. Gaozhuang village, daicun village and Nanzhuang village are rich in petroleum resources. The resident population was 20031 (2017).
Historical evolution
In the Western Han Dynasty, Duan established a village here and named it Duan village.
During the Yongle period of Ming Dynasty, the five surnames Cui, Bian, Zheng, Li and Wang were moved here from Hongdong county. They were Cui Duan village, Bian Duan village, Zheng Duan village, Li Duan village and Wang Duan village.
In 1958, it belonged to Monan commune.
Duan village commune was established in 1961.
In 1984, the society was changed to build Duan village.
In July 2020, jiminhan [2020] No. 36: Duancun township was abolished and Duancun town was established.
