Zhaocun town

Zhaocun Town, subordinate to Xingping City, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the west of Xingping City. It is adjacent to Xicheng street in the East, sang town in the south, Changning town in Wugong County in the West and Mawei street in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 7.5 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 4.6 km, with a total area of 29.60 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, Zhaocun town has 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. As of 2018, Zhao village had 37878 registered residence population. Historical evolution

It is said that during the Eastern Han Dynasty, a general surnamed Zhao led his troops and stationed there, which was deeply loved by the local people. Later, the village was called Zhao village, which was named after the people's Government of the town stationed in Zhao village.

In 1949, the Baojia system was abolished in Xingping, and nine districts were set up under the jurisdiction of Shi'an district (the Fifth District), which was set as Zhaocun township.
