Datun Township, belonging to Renze District, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Renze District, bordering yongfuzhuang Township in the East, Rencheng town in the south, yanjiatun town in the southwest, Guanzhuang town in Neiqiu County in the West and Dongliang Township in Longyao County in the north. It is 8.8 thousand meters away from Renze District People's government, with a total area of 68 square kilometers.
In December 1945, Datun township was the Fourth District of Ren county; in 1984, it was changed from Datun commune to Datun township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Tun Tun was 53846. As of June 2020, Datun rural has jurisdiction over 9 communities and 26 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Datun village.

History of construction
In December 1945, it was the Fourth District of Ren county.
In August 1956, Datun township was built.
In August 1958, it was changed to Datun management area.
In December 1960, Datun commune was rebuilt.
In 1984, Datun commune was transformed into Datun township.
In 1996, Jiuzhou township was merged into Datun township.
In 2020, Ren county will be changed into Renze District, and Datun township will be changed into Renze district.
