Major industries
Shicheng township is one of the main tea producing areas in Dongzhi County. In the late 1980s, Professor Chen Chuan of Anhui Agricultural University, who is known as the "tea sage", once went to the remote village of Shicheng and climbed to the peak of Dawang mountain. However, he saw clouds and dense tea trees. He praised this place as a good place to grow high-quality famous tea. He picked and made tea himself and made Dawang Yunjian, which brought out the "Yunjian" tea series in the East.
There is an ancient tomb in yunwukeng mountain of Wangjian scenic spot at the junction of Shicheng Township and Guangang Town, where Zhou Fu, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi in the Qing Dynasty and Minister of the army, was buried. It is said that before Zhou Fu was born, he entrusted a geomantic omen gentleman to search for the geomantic omen treasure land for him after a hundred years. Mr. geomantic omen inspected the mountains in southern Anhui and selected a small mountain package here, which was considered to be a peerless place. This mountain package is called Qianqian Diaohu. Later, Zhou Fu was buried in this mountain, with the tombstone facing the market town of Guangang, erected by his sons Zhou Xuehai, Zhou Xuexi, Zhou Xueming and Zhou Xuehui. Down the slope, the stone carvings of civil and military officials are arranged on both sides, in a line, with golden tortoises and jade horses showing their respective divine positions. To the north-east of Zhou Fu's tomb is "Tangshan Temple scenic spot". The mountains are undulating, the terrain is magnificent, the climate is pleasant, the forest is luxuriant, the fruit is rich, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant. The main scenic spots are: Buddha's throne, double lions guarding the gate, Jiulong playing with pearls, Huanglong coming out of the cave, golden turtle going to the sea, tiger jumping off the wall, and tangshansi reservoir, forming a natural picture screen. Tangshan temple was first built in the fifth year of Tang Xianqing (660 A.D.). According to the stele, the founder of the mountain was the disciple of monk Xuanzhuang of Tang Dynasty, the great monk in purple in Jinshan Temple of Zhenjiang. The temple has gone through the vicissitudes of life and has been destroyed many times by war. In the first year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1880 AD), Zhou Fu invested in the reconstruction of the temple, which was of great scale. Later, Zhou Fu invested to buy this mountain farm under the proposal of Mr. Feng Shui, and designated it as Zhou's tomb mountain. Therefore, Tangshan temple is also called Zhou's Tangshan temple. At present, the temple still has the seal of "Buddhist monk treasure" and the stone inscriptions of rebuilding Tangshan temple.
