Shuangtu Township
Shuangtu township is a township under the jurisdiction of Qu county, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. Before liberation, it belonged to Quandong township. Shuangtu township was established in 1953, changed to shuangtu commune in 1958, and restored to shuangtu Township in 1984.
Shuangtu township is located in the south of the county, 9 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 26 square kilometers and has a population of 13030 (2017). The country road is connected with national highway 318. It has jurisdiction over eight village committees, namely shuangtu, Kongdong, Wuzhai, Yanshan, Shinan, Fengcun, Yuanfeng and Gaogong.

District profile
District History: shuangtu Township in Quxian county was named after two land Bodhisattvas. Shuangtu township was subordinate to Juan Dong Township before liberation. It was liberated in December 1949. In 1953, seven villages were set up to form shuangtu Township, and the Township People's government was established under the jurisdiction of Linba district. In February 1956, it was put under the jurisdiction of Langya District, and in April of the same year, it was changed into shuangtu Township People's Committee. In 1958, shuangtu people's commune was established to integrate government and society, and the commune management committee was established. In the early stage of communization, it was renamed as the innovation branch, and in 959 it was restored as the shuangtu people's commune. In 1967, during the cultural revolution, it was renamed Tuanjie commune, during which the work of the government was paralyzed. In March 1969, the Revolutionary Committee of the commune was established to exercise the functions and powers of the former management committee. In 1973, the original name of shuangtu people's commune was restored by jingqugefa No.40 document. In 1980, the commune reform committee was abolished and the commune management committee was restored. In January 1984, shuangtu commune was renamed shuangtu Township, and the commune management committee was replaced by the Township People's government.

Administrative division: after the merger of Hexiang village in 2001, it has jurisdiction over 6 administrative villages, namely shuangtu, Wuzhai, Yanshan, Shinan, Yuanfeng and Gaogong, and 43 villager groups, merging Feng Village into Yuanfeng village and Kongdong village into Wuzhai village.

Government information: on June 29, 2011, the 13th Party Congress of shuangtu township was held. Seven members of the Party committee were elected, including Secretary Luo Weilin, deputy secretary he Xiaojian and Zheng Yong, and members Zhang jianqu, he Jiapei, Li Jun and Fei Jun. Three members of the Commission for Discipline Inspection were elected, secretary he Jiapei, deputy secretary Chen Lihua and member Jiang Yanqing.

Topography: most of the territory is in the middle cut wide valley gentle slope hilly area, the terrain is high in the East and low in the west, with an altitude of 276-801 meters. The highest point is the top of dayuan'an mountain in Wuzhai village at the north foot of Huaying Mountain, and the lowest point is the high arch bridge in Gaogong village.
Climate: it belongs to the warm and hot area of shallow hills, flat dams and river valleys. It is characterized by four distinct seasons, hot and rainy seasons, sufficient light and long frost free period.
Hydrology: it belongs to small river system. Xiangshuitan river originates from shuijingwan, Quandong township. It enters from Xiangshuitan, group 5, Shinian village. From east to west, it passes shuangtu, Yuanfeng and Gaogong to shuanghegou, and then flows into Qujiang River through Lidu. The river course is 15 km. Zisheng river originates from chayuangou at the foot of Huaying Mountain, passes through Shinan, shuangtu, Wuzhai and Gaogong, enters shuanghegou, and then flows into Qujiang River through Lidu, with a river course of 13 km.
Mineral resources and other natural resources: the main mineral resources in the territory are coal and limestone, which are concentrated in the foot of Huaying Mountain and rich in groundwater resources.
Natural disasters: the main natural disasters include drought, lightning and so on. In recent years, the most serious drought occurred in July 2006, which caused difficulty in drinking water for people and livestock, and affected a large area in spring.

Agriculture: 951.8 hectares of arable land, 170 hectares of hillside land, 535 hectares of forest land, and 105 hectares of returning farmland to forests. In 2011, the total income of agriculture was 19.29 million yuan, with rice, wheat and corn as the main crops; the income of animal husbandry was 68.34 million yuan, with pigs, layers, cattle and sheep as the main livestock. There were three pig farms with an annual stock of 35000. There are 2 laying hens farms with an annual stock of 55000. In 2012, shuangtu Township college students' entrepreneurial agriculture demonstration base in Quxian county was established, mainly focusing on pepper, orange, walnut planting and pig breeding, which led and promoted 8 college students to become rich.
Industry: mainly in processing, casting and mining, it has three industrial enterprises with an annual output value of 78 million yuan.
Commercial and foreign trade: at the end of 2011, there were 89 commercial outlets. In 2011, the total retail sales of social goods reached 650 million yuan. In December 2011, a standardized agricultural market was built.

Culture and Art: shuangtu village cultural station and shuangtu village cultural activity room were built in 2009, and chengshinian village cultural activity room was built in 2011. A modern distance education platform for rural Party members has been opened in all villages of the township, equipped with TV, computer, projector and other equipment. Shuangtu cultural station and cultural activity rooms of shuangtu village and Shinian village are equipped with more than 30000 books and 200 audio-visual materials. In 2006, 6 cultural relics protection units were approved. The ancient buildings include Lijia mast built in Qing Dynasty, which is located in Lijia Zhongwan, group 7, Yuanfeng village. There are 4 existing ancient tombs. Among them, zushanwan Liu's tomb was built in 1793, Wangjiawan's tomb was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty, xiaoshixi's tomb was built in Qing Dynasty, kongdongshan's tomb was built in the Han Dynasty, and a large stone tomb was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty Banshan cliff tombs, all tombs are listed as "Quxian intangible cultural heritage protection project".
Education, health and social security: at the end of 2011, there were 1 central school and 5 village primary schools with 1570 students and 150 teachers. One Township Central Health Center and six village level health service stations have been set up. The new rural cooperative medical system is fully covered, and the coverage rate is 100%. The newly built Wubao homestead in Wuzhai village covers an area of 450 square meters, which can accommodate more than 20 elderly people. At the end of 2011, a total of 476000 yuan was distributed to 123 low-income households and 492 rural households with minimum living security, with 363 people rescued and 385000 yuan distributed. Municipal facilities: a new waterworks, 136 water users in the township, a new bus station, 2 temporary parking spots for motorcycles, and a new standardized agricultural market, covering an area of 1800 square meters. 630 households from 19 villager groups in the town and four administrative villages installed and used natural gas.
