Kuangshan town has the characteristics of Wu'an and is the epitome of Wu'an. Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, the national 517, 518, five mining teams and other geological exploration teams have been to the mine for many times. Large state-owned enterprises, such as guoerzhuang coal mine, Xishimen Iron Mine, kuangcun iron mine, Shibanpo iron mine, Yushiwa iron mine, have been established successively. Up to now, they have been mined for half a century. They are the main channel for local people to obtain employment and have made indelible contributions to the local economic development. Kuangcun iron mine and Shibanpo iron mine have been closed and moved away because of resource depletion. Guoerzhuang coal mine, Xishimen Iron Mine and Yushiwa Iron Mine are still rich in underground resources, with considerable economic benefits. In addition, the northwest basin water, linggong, lianfan and other mountainous areas are rich in bluestone resources.
