Banqiao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Heshui County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Heshui County, adjacent to the old town of Heshui County in the East, Gaolou township of Qingcheng County in the west, xihuachi town in the South and Qingcheng County in the north, with a total administrative area of 158.55 square kilometers.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the top ten of xihuachili in Heshui County; in April 1983, it was changed to Banqiao township. In 2013, Banqiao township was built from township. By the end of 2018, the population of Banqiao Town registered residence was 18569. In June 2020, Banqiao Town governs 12 administrative villages.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the top ten of xihuachili in Heshui county.

The first year of the Republic of China (1912), is the second district.

The Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region belonged to Banqiao district.

In April 1947, after the Kuomintang occupied Heshui County, it became Banqiao township.
