Taiping Town
Taiping town is located in the south of Jingchuan County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province. It is adjacent to Gaoping town in the East, Shizi town in Lingtai County in the southeast, Shangyang Township in Lingtai County in the southwest, zhanglaosi farm in the west, Fufeng Township in the northwest and Chengguan town in the north. Its total area is 151.09 square kilometers.
Taiping town is named after Taiping pass. Taiping pass, also known as geta pass, is located in a dangerous terrain. It is the South Gate of Jingchuan. In ancient times, there was a saying that "two rivers flow separately to anding post, and one city sleeps Taiping pass". In the Ming Dynasty, there was an inspection department here. In the Qing Dynasty, Taiping Town belonged to Yongning and huizhongli respectively. Before 1949, Qingping township was established. After 1949, Taiping District was established. In July 2016, Taiping Township was changed from township to town and set as Taiping town. By the end of 2018, Taiping had 15746 registered residence population. As of June 2020, Taiping town has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in zhangjiagouquan, Hejia village.
At the end of 2011, the total agricultural output value of Taiping town was 11000700 yuan, the agricultural added value was 75684000 yuan, the grain output was 15373.7 tons, and the fruit output was 10050 tons. The total output of beef production is 525 tons. At the end of 2011, the per capita net income of farmers was 3378 yuan. The balance of various deposits of domestic financial institutions was 100 million yuan, an increase of 5.7% over the previous year, and the balance of various loans was 80 million yuan. Historical evolution
In the Ming Dynasty, there was an inspection department.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Yongning and huizhongli respectively. In 1753, it was under the jurisdiction of huizhongli in Jingzhou.
In the 27th year of the Republic of China (1938), the seventh joint insurance office was set up, which was stationed at taipingguan.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the seventh joint insurance office and the sixth joint insurance office (based in koujiayuan) were merged and established as Qingping township.
In August 1946, Yuandian township was incorporated into Qingping township. Qingping Township under the jurisdiction of 10 Bao 115 a.
In November 1949, Pingxiang was removed from the Qing Dynasty and Taiping District was established. The government was stationed in gedaguan. Taiping District has 8 townships (township: Bao).
In November 1956, Taiping District governed five townships: Taiping, sanliliang, Jiaojia, koujiayuan and zhanglaosi.
In March 1958, Taiping District was divided into Taiping Township, sanshilipu, Jiaocun and koujiayuan. Most of the area in Jiayuan township is zhanglaosi farm. In September, Taiping Township was set up and merged into Hongxing commune.
In July 1961, the District Working Committee was established in Jingchuan county. Hongxing commune was split up and Taiping commune was established under the jurisdiction of Chengguan District Working Committee.
In March 1962, the working committee of Chengguan District was removed. In April, six communes, Shuiquan temple, koujiayuan, Heihe, Luohan cave, Jingcun and Kangle, were newly established.
In March 1963, koujiayuan commune was merged and established Taiping commune.
In November 1983, Taiping commune was changed into Taiping Township, and its production team was changed into villagers' group.
In December 2003, Heihe township was merged into Taiping Township.
In July 2016, Taiping Township was changed from township to town and set as Taiping town.

By the end of 2011, Taiping Township had 15 villagers' committees including Hejia, Sanxing, Zhoujia, hongyawan, zhaiziwa, silangdian, koujia, Yayao, qiqianguan, Huangchang, Pankou, Jiaocun, zhujiagou, Likou and yinpo, and 92 villagers' groups.
As of June 2020, Taiping town has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Taiping town is located in zhangjiagouquan, Hejia village.
